The Prince of Wales Hotel hits the market
The freehold to Melbourne’s iconic Prince of Wales Hotel has hit the market, with current owners Jackalope Group appointing CBRE to manage the sale.
The St Kilda venue, which has just completed a renovation, features 39 hotel rooms, a dining room, a street bar, a bakery and wine store, an indoor pool, and a function room.
The Prince’s status as one of Melbourne’s most iconic live music venues was cemented in the 80s and 90s, when it hosted household names including Midnight Oil, Silverchair, Lenny Kravitz and Prince. It continues to be a crucial part of local and international touring circuits.
Jackalope Group paid $45 million for the hotel in 2015. It has a long-term lease with the Melbourne Pub Group.
The expression of interest campaign will end on 27 September 2023.
