In this week’s podcast episode, we talk with Tony Isaacson – current Chairperson of the Robin Boyd Foundation, whilst amongst many other interests part of the Portable Buildings World Heritage Nomination Task Force (better known as PBWHNTF …😂😂😂) and as a Tutor at the University of Melbourne.

With a 40-year career at Kane Constructions, 17 of which as the Managing Director – who better to hear from about his experiences and thoughts on the construction industry?

In this episode, we discuss his long career in the industry, his passion for portable buildings, creating culture in construction teams, process & systems, and his important part in introducing one of the most highly regarded building Cadetship in Melbourne’s construction industry.

Tony also talks to us about the early years of his career and summarises how the industry has changed whilst also summarising some of the consistent challenges faced by the industry.

Whilst the former Managing Director at Kane Constructions, he continues to hold leadership roles, including acting as the current Chairperson at Robin Boyd Foundation, providing some lecturing and a keen interest in gaining heritage status for some of the oldest portable buildings in Australia.
