Gamuda wins approval for St Kilda Road office tower
VCAT has approved Gamuda Land’s application for an 18-storey residential tower on St Kilda Road, overriding a permit amendment from the City of Port Phillip to cut the tower’s height by two storeys.
Originally purchased for $9.75 million, the site at 95 St Kilda Road will soon be home to a $35 million development housing 78 apartments. There will also be a café and a 102 square metre co-working space. BayleyWard Architects are responsible for the design.
This latest project joins a suite of iconic builds for the Malaysian-based developer, which entered Australia in 2014. Its other projects include a 20-storey residential development in South Melbourne, a $180 million development in Fisherman’s Bend, and a 30-storey landmark development with hotel-like amenities on Chapel Street.
