Having progressed from Estimating in the sub-contract space, to Commercial Estimator within head contracting (10 years), he has detailed expertise in cost planning, tendering, and subcontractor negotiations. Throughout his career, he has contributed to a diverse range of commercial projects, spanning schools, childcare centres, industrial warehouses, aged care facilities, service stations, and special-use buildings. These projects have ranged from $2 million to $30 million, with his involvement covering both Design & Construct and construct-only contracts. Notable achievements include securing major tender wins on multi-million-dollar developments and implementing value engineering strategies to optimise project budgets. His ability to assess project risks and opportunities has ensured the successful financial viability of the projects he has worked on.

In his most recent roles, he has been responsible for preparing detailed Bills of Quantities, analysing subcontractor quotes, and managing cost and value engineering assessments. He has played a key role in refining estimating processes, mentoring junior estimators, and maintaining strong relationships with major commercial builders. Known for his adaptability and analytical mindset, he is highly regarded for his ability to read between the lines of tender documents and provide cost-effective solutions.
