Construction Manager \ Project Director

This candidate is a results-driven and experienced Project Director with over 13 years of experience managing high-profile projects valued into the billions in property development and construction sectors in Australia and overseas. With his high-level competencies in managing complex development and construction projects, he has experience in various roles as a consultant PM, head contractor, or developer, including managing multiple direct reports. The candidate possesses an aptitude for influencing and leading cross-functionally and managing stakeholder relationships to ensure timelines, quality, and cost measures are achieved. The candidate is well-versed in town planning negotiation, project feasibility studies, contract administration, routine project updates, project cost control, and project close-out. Additionally, he is a resourceful individual with the ability and agility to pick up projects at any stage and run with them. 

Project Values range from $100k – $2B in value, including hotels, apartments, and infrastructure works within the resources sector. 

The candidate’s core competencies include managing various stakeholders and teams, front-end project site due diligence, town planning negotiations and approvals, development finance reporting, construction logistic plans, preempting and mitigating risks, coordinating and scheduling construction, quality control procedures, and contract negotiation and approval. With an educational background of a Bachelor of Civil and Structural Engineering, the candidate has completed several professional development courses. 

The candidate’s notable achievements include managing multiple project management staff and clients on various projects simultaneously, managing front-end development site due diligences and design, with significant request for proposal tenders, managing the development/project delivery team, managing the entire construction of hotels, and pre-empting and managing the resolution of key design faults and issues, working with consultants to find workable solutions within budget. The candidate has provided cost reporting and project forecasting programs to clients and directors using a range of software, including Procore, iTwoCX, Primavera, Microsoft Project, BlueBeam Revu, Asta, Excel, and Aconex. 

He is currently seeking a Senior role as a Construction Manager, Operations Manager or Project Director.
