Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor (temp or permanent)

This qualified Quantity Surveyor has nine years of experience in construction for Consulting Cost Management firms in the Middle East, in addition to working as a Quantity Surveyor in a large MEP contractor in Dubai.
Having worked within a contractor and for a consulting organisation, he is well versed in the progress, claims, and variations process from both points of view.
Having most recently run a small team of Quantity Surveyors in his native country, he has moved to Australia with full working rights – his most recent overseas work saw him undertake bills of quantities, and cost planning work on behalf of many Melbourne head contractors via a consulting firm in his home country.
A good communicator and a strong desire to succeed and make a success of his career for himself and his family here in Australia, he is seeking an opportunity to start in a role as a Contract Administrator or a Quantity Surveyor and is comfortable working for any organization who might be prepared to give him an opportunity. Key skills include:
- Preparing cost reports
- Preparing bills of quantities, tender documentation, and evaluating tenders.
- Preparation of commercial reports and forecasting
- Project cost reporting and management
- Negotiation with subcontractors and engagement of trades
