Contracts Manager (Fit-out and New build) | PLACED

This Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager has in excess of 25 years within the construction industry, initially commencing his career as a Quantity Surveyor and more recently moving into Commercial Management.

More recent appointments have included a Commercial Manager role, leading the commercial team across multiple commercial construction projects, he has worked for large-scale Tier two contractors in the UK and here in Australia.

Professional, courteous, yet detailed, and tenacious when it comes to procurement and negotiation, he has all the characteristics typically seen in a high-performing commercial construction specialist.

The focus of his career is on Commercial and Contract Management as opposed to Project Management albeit, over the years he has assisted with project management of projects.

However, he is not seeking a Project Management position now, or in the future. He is seeking a Contracts Manager level role within the fit-out or new build sector across Tier two or Tier three building organizations. Key skills include:

• Versatility with extensive experience in various construction methods
• Experience across a variety of construction forms of contracts
• Upholds a very high level of professional standards and is an excellent problem solver
• A very high level of negotiating skills and procurement skills as confirmed by references
• Comfortable leading a commercial division or large-scale commercial construction projects
• Suited to running the commercial team within a builder or leading a large-scale construction project as the commercial lead for the project
